Mobile App Developer (iOS, Android & Cross-Platform) – Remote Position Type: Full-Time, Remote Working Hours: Flexible About the Role At Pavago, one of our clients is hiring a Mobile App Developer to build, improve, and maintain modern mobile applications across iOS and Android . This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who enjoys turning product ideas and designs into polished, production-ready mobile experiences. You’ll work across: iOS and Android development Native and cross-platform applications UI/UX implementation API and backend integrations Performance optimization Testing and production releases You’ll collaborate closely with designers, backend engineers, and product teams to ship mobile applications that are fast, reliable, scalable, and enjoyable to use. What You’ll Own Mobile Application Development Develop and maintain mobile applications for iOS and Android. Build native applications using: Swift / Xcode Kotlin / Java iOS SDK Android SDK Develop cross-platform applications using: React Native Flutter Write clean, scalable, maintainable, and production-ready code. Build new features and continuously improve existing applications. UI/UX Implementation Translate Figma and product designs into polished mobile interfaces. Build responsive experiences across: Smartphones Tablets Different screen sizes and resolutions Maintain consistency with product design systems and UI standards. Collaborate with designers to improve usability and interaction quality. Ensure smooth and intuitive mobile experiences. API Integration & Backend Connectivity Integrate applications with: REST APIs Backend services Authentication systems Third-party services Handle networking, data synchronization, and application state efficiently. Troubleshoot integration issues between mobile and backend systems. Optimize API communication for speed and reliability. Performance & Application Stability Monitor and improve: Application speed Responsiveness Memory usage Battery efficiency Overall stability Identify and resolve crashes, bugs, and performance bottlenecks. Ensure applications perform consistently across supported devices and operating systems. Build with scalability and long-term maintainability in mind. Testing & Quality Test features across multiple devices and operating system versions. Debug application issues and resolve defects before release. Support regression testing and production validation. Collaborate with QA and engineering teams to maintain high release quality. Deployment & Release Management Prepare applications for production releases. Manage or support: Apple App Store submissions Google Play Store releases Maintain versioning and release workflows. Monitor applications after deployment and resolve production issues quickly. What Makes You a Strong Fit You: Enjoy building mobile products people actually use. Care about both engineering quality and user experience. Can translate designs into polished, functional interfaces. Think about performance, scalability, and maintainability. Troubleshoot technical issues independently. Communicate effectively with product, design, and backend teams. Take ownership from development through production release. Required Experience & Skills 3+ years of mobile application development experience. Strong experience with iOS and/or Android development. Hands-on knowledge of: Swift Kotlin / Java iOS SDK Android SDK Experience with cross-platform frameworks such as: React Native Flutter Strong understanding of: REST APIs Mobile networking Authentication Application lifecycle Familiarity with architecture patterns such as: MVVM MVC MVP Strong understanding of mobile UI/UX best practices. Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows. Strong debugging and problem-solving skills. Nice to Have Experience publishing production applications to the Apple App Store and Google Play Store . Experience with: Firebase Push notifications Mobile analytics Authentication systems Experience building: Offline-first functionality Real-time features Mobile animations Startup or product-company experience. Experience improving performance for applications with growing user bases. What a Typical Day Looks Like You may start by reviewing current development priorities and debugging an issue reported in production. Throughout the day, you could: Build new mobile features. Implement designs into responsive interfaces. Integrate APIs and backend services. Debug application issues. Optimize performance. Test functionality across devices. Review code and collaborate with other engineers. Prepare new builds for production release.
