Te Tūranga | The role This role is ideal for someone who wants to learn and develop their HR skills and experience. You’ll work closely with staff across all areas of the school, building trusted relationships and responding to a wide range of queries and needs. Day to day you will provide administration support for the full employee lifecycle, recruitment and onboarding to payroll and offboarding, ensuring our HR processes run smoothly and professionally. You’ll also contribute to HR reporting, process improvement, and support the Director, People & Capability with projects and data that inform decision making across the College. No two days are the same, and your ability to manage competing priorities, stay organised, and communicate clearly will be key to your success. Ngā haepapa | The responsibilities You will be responsible for: Coordinating recruitment and onboarding processes, including advertising, interview scheduling, employment agreements, Police Vetting, and liaising with IT, Property, and Health & Safety ensuring successful onboarding. Managing employee records, and contract variations. Supporting payroll processing, maintaining payroll data, and responding to staff queries Managing the People inbox, categorising and responding to queries. Tracking key HR metrics and preparing reports. Supporting process improvement initiatives and contributing to HR projects. He kōrero mōu | About you You will bring to the role: Experience in HR administration or coordination or a recent HR graduate qualification Strong organisational and communication skills Intermediate/advanced Microsoft suite skills Initiative and a commitment to continuous personal and professional development Experience or some knowledge of payroll systems Knowledge of NZ employment legislation Experience in a school environment (preferred but not essential) Ngā whakareinga | What we offer Our staff have access to a wide range of professional development opportunities as part of our ongoing commitment to continuous learning and development.
