We’re a group of companies operating in the horticulture industry. We specialise in the growing, marketing and distribution of fresh produce. This is an on site role based at our head office, sales and distribution centre based in Mangere, Auckland. The purpose of this role is to support the Head of HR and senior stakeholders in ensuring smooth HR functions across multiple sites. About the role: Shadowing & Advisory Growth: Attend a variety of HR and employment relations meetings to take notes, offer input, and scale up your knowledge to provide first-level policy advice. Recruitment Coordination: Manage the end-to-end recruitment cycle, including drafting ads, screening CVs, updating the ATS, and coordinating candidate interviews. Onboarding & Compliance: Handle pre-employment screening, draft Individual Employment Agreements (IEAs), coordinate onboarding, and support the NZ Cadet Program selection. Offboarding & Records Management: Maintain accurate employee files, draft formal HR correspondence, coordinate the exit process, and conduct exit interviews as requested. RSE & Migrant Support: Help manage the RSE/SSE applications and ATR process, ensure accommodation standards via audits, verify visas, and arrange travel logistics. Payroll & Metrics Collaboration: Partner with the Payroll team to compile monthly HR metrics, prepare final pays, and manage accommodation-related deductions. Health, Safety & Privacy: Prioritise Health & Safety training, actively review processes for efficiency, and strictly maintain data confidentiality under the Privacy Act. This role will suit you if you have: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology or relevant field A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar industry and role Solid understanding of New Zealand Employment legislation Computer literate and quick to pick up new systems and applications High level of analytical, problem solving and organisation abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills Highly organised and able to manage high workloads and meet deadlines on a daily basis Customer focused (internal and external) Desire to perform in a team environment with a positive, can-do, willing and adaptable attitude
