About the role We are looking for an enthusiastic and capable HR Manager with a generalist background to lead our HR function. This is a very hands-on position and will require someone who can hit the ground running. The role calls for an experienced HR professional who is people focused. The Cooper & Co team is made up of over 300 Salespeople (contractors) and 104 FTE, so this role will require someone who is knowledgeable, confident, and will work well supporting all business units. Reporting into the GM - Corporate Services, you will work closely with the leadership team daily. This role has mix of key tasks, it really will suit a generalist and someone who can build rapport easily, support day to day HR operations and is an energetic and resilient person. Key tasks : Be the HR compass, guiding the leadership team and senior managers through the full HR employee lifecycle. Provide practical and useful HR advise to Managers and Salespeople Working closely with managers Managers and Salespeople to manage all aspects of recruitment including advertising, shortlisting, interviewing, candidate checks Use your interpersonal expertise to resolve conflicts and employee relations concerns Managing HR documentation alongside HR Coordinator Manage onboarding and induction of new staff alongside HR Coordinator Work closely with Heads of Department to foster a work environment that reflects Cooper & Cos values and continues to build a strong culture. Ensuring the company is compliant with employment law and regulations The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years experience in a generalist human resources role, a can-do attitude, excellent interpersonal skills, strong relationship building skills, and be willing to delve into all aspects of HR.
