Senior Accounting Executive / Finance Executive – FMCG Division

About Us We are a fast-growing FMCG distribution group recently acquired by a publicly listed manufacturing company. With operations across Kuching, Miri, Sibu and Kota Kinabalu, we are entering an exciting transformation phase—from a traditional SME setup to a more structured, tech-enabled and professionally managed organization. We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Accounting Executive to join our growing team. Reporting directly to and assisting the Finance Manager , you will play a key role in managing day-to-day accounting operations, maintaining full set accounts, and contributing to financial and group reporting. Candidate must willing to work at Bintawa Industrial Estate area. Job Description Full Set & General Ledger Management: Maintain accurate accounting records, manage month-end closings, post journals, and perform bank & balance sheet reconciliations on a timely basis. AR & AP Operations: Oversee customer and supplier statements, reconcile accounts, manage aging reports, and coordinate follow-ups on payments or discrepancies. Schedules & Asset Management: Maintain schedules for fixed assets, depreciation, hire purchases, term loans, fixed deposits, and inventory stock counts. Financial Reporting Support: Assist the Finance Manager in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual group financial reports, management packs, and financial analyses. External Liaison & Compliance: Coordinate with external auditors, tax agents, banks, and company secretaries while ensuring full compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations. Who You Are Qualifications: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree / Professional Qualification (ACCA / CPA / CIMA) in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent. Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably with exposure to full set accounts. Technical Skills: Good understanding of accounting standards, tax regulations, and audit processes. Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel. Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking, high accuracy, excellent task prioritization, and solid communication skills to work independently and effectively with cross-functional teams. Based in Kuching (or willing to relocate) and open to occasional travel to branch offices. Willing to work at Bintawa Industrial Estate area .
