Senior Finance Executive

About the role We are seeking a Senior Finance Executive to join SOLARIS SCIENTIFIC (M) SDN. BHD. in Bandar Bukit Puchong, Selangor. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial strategic role within our finance department, contributing directly to the financial health and operational success of the organisation. The Senior Finance Executive will be responsible for overseeing financial accounting, reporting, and analysis functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of financial information to support informed business decision-making at all levels of the company. What you'll be doing Preparing, reviewing and finalising monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements Managing the general ledger, including transaction recording, account reconciliations, and journal entry preparation and review Overseeing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments Conducting financial analysis and variance investigations to identify trends, anomalies and areas for improvement Preparing financial reports and supporting documentation for management, stakeholders and regulatory bodies Ensuring compliance with Malaysian accounting standards, tax regulations and other relevant statutory requirements Assisting with internal and external audit activities, including preparation of working papers and resolution of audit findings Supporting the development and implementation of financial policies, procedures and internal controls to strengthen the control environment Collaborating with other departments to ensure accurate cost allocation and budget monitoring Training and mentoring junior finance team members to support their professional development What we're looking for Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CA(M), CPA or equivalent Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in financial accounting and reporting, preferably in a manufacturing or scientific-based industry Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting In-depth knowledge of Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and taxation requirements Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and compliance Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to identify and resolve complex accounting issues Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines Demonstrated leadership capability with the ability to supervise and develop junior staff Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders Experience with system implementations or process improvement initiatives would be advantageous What we offer SOLARIS SCIENTIFIC values its employees and provides a competitive remuneration package commensurate with experience and qualifications.
