The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the company's financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, managing cash flow, budgeting, and providing strategic financial insights to support business growth and decision-making. This role reports to the CEO. Key Responsibilities Financial Management Oversee the day-to-day finance and accounting operations. Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports. Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing activities. Monitor the company's financial performance and identify areas for improvement. Budgeting & Financial Planning Develop and manage annual budgets and financial forecasts. Analyze budget variances and provide recommendations to management. Support long-term financial planning and business strategies. Cash Flow & Treasury Monitor cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity for business operations. Manage banking relationships and financing arrangements. Optimize working capital, including receivables, payables, and inventory. Statutory Compliance Ensure compliance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS), Companies Act, tax regulations, SST, and other statutory requirements. Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, bankers, company secretary, and government authorities. Ensure timely submission of statutory reports and tax filings. Financial Analysis Analyze financial data and key performance indicators (KPIs). Prepare profitability, cost, and investment analyses. Provide financial recommendations to support management decisions. Internal Controls & Risk Management Establish and maintain strong internal controls and financial policies. Identify financial risks and implement appropriate mitigation measures. Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards. Team Leadership Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team. Allocate work effectively and monitor team performance. Foster continuous improvement and professional development. Business Support Partner with department heads to improve financial performance. Support business expansion, investment evaluations, and strategic projects. Participate in management meetings and provide financial insights. Job Requirements Education Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, or equivalent is preferred. Experience Minimum 5–8 years of relevant finance and accounting experience. At least 2-3 years in a managerial or supervisory role. Experience in manufacturing, retail, FMCG, or distribution industries is an advantage. Technical Skills Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, taxation, and cash flow management. Familiarity with Malaysian accounting standards (MFRS) and statutory requirements. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems Leadership & Soft Skills Strong leadership and people management skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. High level of integrity, accountability, and attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
