Assistant Finance Manager

Job Function • Assist the Finance Manager in overseeing daily finance and accounting operations at Plassein Industry Sdn Bhd, a plastic injection moulding manufacturer. • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS). • Manage cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting activities. • Supervise accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and reconciliation processes. • Liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers, and regulatory bodies (LHDN, SSM, Customs). • Support month-end and year-end closing processes. • Monitor internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies and statutory requirements. • Prepare management reports and financial analysis for senior management. • Perform product costing, inventory valuation, and margin analysis for plastic injection moulding operations. • Supervise and mentor junior finance/accounts staff. Requirements • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a professional qualification (ACCA/CIMA/MICPA). • Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. • Manufacturing / plastic injection moulding industry experience strongly preferred. • Strong knowledge of MFRS, taxation, and Malaysian statutory requirements. • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., SQL, AutoCount, SAP) and MS Excel. • Meticulous, analytical, and able to work independently under tight deadlines. • Good leadership and interpersonal skills. • Malaysian citizen.
