This recruitment is for our client who deals on computers and accessories across multiple locations, they are looking for an accountant to help them put structure, manage finances and stucture their inventory across branches. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Accountant role based in Abuja. The Accountant will manage day-to-day financial operations, including recording transactions, maintaining general ledgers, preparing journal entries, and reconciling bank and account balances. They will also be responsible for tracking inventory and ensuring thr books balances end to end. The role includes preparing financial statements and management reports, supporting budgeting and forecasting, and monitoring cash flow to ensure accurate, timely financial data for decision-making. The Accountant will ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations and statutory reporting, prepare and file tax returns, and maintain proper documentation for audits and regulatory reviews. The role also involves collaborating with internal teams to track expenses, support inventory and revenue reconciliation within the client business using Justicesure platform, and contribute to process improvements and internal controls. Qualifications Strong skills in financial accounting, general ledger management, and preparation of financial statements. Proficiency in account reconciliation, cash flow monitoring, and month-end and year-end closing processes. Knowledge of tax laws, regulatory reporting requirements, and experience preparing and filing tax returns. Experience with accounting software and ERP or integrated business systems; familiarity with AI-driven or cloud platforms is an advantage. Ability to analyze financial data, generate clear reports, and provide insights to support business decisions. Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and a structured approach to documentation and internal controls. Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with operations, HR, and compliance teams. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., ACA, ACCA) is an added advantage. Understanding of SME and multi-branch business environments in Nigeria or across Africa is beneficial.
