Job Title: AWS Network Engineer / Cloud Network Engineer Location: Toronto, ON Employment Type: Full-Time / Permanent About the Role We are seeking an experienced AWS Network Engineer / Cloud Network Engineer to design, develop, and support secure, scalable cloud networking solutions. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of overall cloud engineering experience , with a strong foundation in network engineering earlier in their career and substantial recent experience focused on AWS cloud networking and development . This is a hands-on AWS-focused role for someone who can build and automate modern cloud network environments. Key Responsibilities Design and implement scalable AWS network architectures , including VPCs, subnets, routing, and connectivity. Configure and manage AWS networking services such as VPN, Direct Connect, load balancers, and DNS . Build and maintain hybrid and multi-cloud connectivity between on-premises and cloud environments. Troubleshoot complex network issues involving routing, connectivity, latency, and performance . Implement cloud network security using firewalls, security groups, NACLs , and related controls. Automate infrastructure provisioning and network deployments using Terraform and CI/CD pipelines . Monitor network environments and proactively identify performance, reliability, and connectivity issues. Collaborate with cloud, infrastructure, security, and application teams to deliver reliable AWS solutions. Mandatory Skills & Qualifications 7+ years of cloud engineering experience . Strong hands-on experience with AWS networking and cloud development . Previous professional experience in network engineering , particularly earlier in your career. Strong knowledge of AWS VPC, subnets, routing, connectivity, VPN, and Direct Connect . Experience with hybrid cloud and on-premises-to-AWS networking . Strong understanding of network security , including firewalls, security groups, and NACLs. Hands-on experience with Terraform and infrastructure automation . Experience with CI/CD pipelines . Strong troubleshooting skills across cloud and network environments. Preferred Experience Multi-cloud networking experience. AWS load balancing and DNS services. Network performance optimization and monitoring. Experience modernizing traditional network infrastructure into AWS cloud environments. Strong scripting/automation experience. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully.
