Owl?s Nest is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated *Cook* to join our team! *Responsibilities* * Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes, presentation standards, and quality guidelines * Assist in food preparation tasks such as chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients to streamline kitchen operations * Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering strictly to food safety and handling protocols * Support the kitchen team during busy hours by efficiently managing multiple orders and maintaining pace * Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed to uphold health regulations and safety standards * Collaborate with team members to deliver exceptional food service experiences to guests * Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and communicate needs for restocking or ordering supplies *Requirements:* * Minimum *2 years of commercial kitchen experience* * Previous food service or restaurant experience preferred, especially in fast-paced kitchens * *Food Safe Certificate required* * *PC1 Certificate* is an asset * Ability to work *independently *and as part of a team * *Strong multitasking skills* and able to perform in a *fast-paced, busy kitchen environment* * Ability to stand for extended periods, work under pressure, and maintain a positive attitude in a lively environment * *Proactive*, *reliable*, and a *positive attitude* , *follow instructions *? we value teamwork and *professionalism* * Knowledge of general kitchen practices, food safety, and quality control *Position Details:* * Full-time or part-time available * $23 per hour *Perks & Benefits:* * Staff *food discount* * *Tips* * *Free coffee* ?
