Regina Early Learning Centre is seeking a reliable, organized, and dedicated Childcare Cook to join our team. The Cook will plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals and snacks for children in our licensed childcare program while maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming kitchen. Hours: MondayFriday, 8:30 a.m.3:00 p.m., including a 30-minute unpaid meal break.The Cook will prepare morning snack, lunch, and afternoon snack for up to 48 toddlers and preschool-aged children, following Canadas Food Guide, Saskatchewan childcare nutrition requirements, Public Health standards, and organizational policies. The Cook will accommodate food allergies, medical dietary requirements, cultural dietary practices, and other restrictions.Responsibilities include preparing nutritious, age-appropriate meals and snacks; maintaining food safety and sanitation standards; monitoring food temperatures and completing required documentation; safely operating kitchen equipment; ensuring proper food storage and rotation; monitoring inventory; ordering supplies within approved budgets; receiving deliveries; minimizing food waste; and maintaining an organized kitchen.The successful candidate will have strong organizational and time-management skills, attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team. Previous experience in a childcare, school, healthcare, or commercial kitchen is preferred. Knowledge of child nutrition, food allergies, and dietary accommodations is an asset.Food Safe Level 1 certification is required. Current First Aid/CPR is an asset.
