ENVIRONMENT: THE coding expertise of a Senior Full Stack Developer, who moves fast, thinks independently, and sees AI as a superpower, is sought by a dynamic provider of cutting-edge Job Management Software Solutions in Joburg. You'll be shaping a small Engineering team working with high autonomy and impact while working closely with the CTO, fellow Developers and Product team to build, maintain, and evolve the platform. This is a true Full Stack role covering web and mobile apps. This role requires being in the Johannesburg office as collaboration and speed matter here, and they work better together in person. Applicants must preferably have a BSc in Computing/Computer Science with around 3-4 years’ relevant experience including building and maintaining production systems, understand how to prompt for Test-Driven Development (generate tests first, then code that satisfies them) & you can apply AI to solve non-coding problems (automation, internal tooling). Your tech toolset should include: C#.NET, .NET Core, EF Core, React, Node.js/Next.js, Git/GitHub/Jira, Azure and Ionic/Angular/Flutter. DUTIES: Build new features and improve existing systems across our platform. Make architectural decisions with validation from senior team members. Use AI to implement Test-Driven Development from day one (prompt for tests, then prompt for code that satisfies those tests). Contribute AI skills to solve internal efficiency problems across the business. Mentor other Developers as the team grows. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor of Science in Computing/Computer Science, preferred. Full Stack Development experience (Web and Mobile). Tech Stack - C# .NET & .NET Core EF Core React Node.js/Next.js Git/GitHub/Jira Azure Ionic/ Angular/ Flutter Azure SQL/MySQL/MariaDB Claude Code & Agentic AI ATTRIBUTES: You move without being pushed - You don't wait for permission or perfect information—when you see a gap, you step toward it, and when the path is unclear, you communicate, start anyway and course-correct. You have a learner's metabolism - You absorb new information quickly and apply it immediately—you read the tool, the situation, the codebase, and adapt before most people notice things have changed. You think in outcomes, not activity - You're oriented toward what gets done, not how hard you worked—you can articulate the difference between being busy and being useful, and you hold yourself to the latter. You're not threatened by AI. You're impatient without it - You see AI as leverage, not competition—you've already found ways to use it in your work because you want to move faster and think bigger than your hours allow. That number includes positions in India (9,577), Poland (3,429), the United States (1,753), Singapore (787), and Brazil (779). If you're looking to move or work remotely, check which countries match your goals — then filter WorkMundi by location to see what's actually hiring near you.
Most developer ads you'll see are written in English: 18,397 of the 24,795. That doesn't tell you whether the job itself requires you to speak English or work in English daily, so read each posting carefully. Don't assume the language of the ad matches the language of the team.
The employers posting the most developer roles are Link Group (369 jobs), Upvanta (257), jobgether (226), and OfferZen (212). If you're applying to any of these, research their hiring patterns. They move fast and post often, which means they're either scaling hard or replacing people who didn't fit.
In your interview, expect this: 'Walk me through the last time you had to debug something that took you more than an hour. What was it, what did you try first, and what would you do differently?' Hiring managers ask this to see if you think systematically or just try random fixes. Have a real example ready with specifics.
