Delivery Lead - Senior Full stack developer Duration: 6 months Location: Cape Town, Western Cape Role Overview The Delivery Lead - Senior Java Full Stack Developer will lead the technical execution and delivery of Java-based full-stack solutions. The role combines hands-on technical expertise with technical leadership, collaboration, and responsibility for successful phased delivery. Key Responsibilities Technical Leadership & Development Lead the technical execution of software engineering solutions in alignment with business requirements and engineering standards. Provide technical guidance and support to engineering resources. Contribute to the development and delivery of full-stack solutions using Java, Spring Boot, React and/or Angular, and SQL . Promote and maintain best practices across coding, testing, and deployment. Keep up to date with relevant AI innovations and applicable engineering practices. Collaboration Work closely with Product Managers, Designers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and prioritise technical deliverables. Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure features are delivered within agreed timelines. Follow the defined Connect Way of Work . Phased Delivery Manage technical delivery across phased rollouts. Coordinate technical dependencies and delivery timelines across different phases. Support the delivery of new partner integrations and customer segments. Testing & Deployment Ensure the adoption of automated unit, integration, and end-to-end testing . Participate in CI/CD pipeline management. Support reliable and consistent software delivery and deployment. Documentation Create and maintain technical documentation relating to code, systems, and processes. Ensure documentation supports effective team collaboration, ongoing maintenance, and compliance requirements. Required Technical Skills Java Spring Boot React and/or Angular SQL Full Stack Development Automated Testing Unit Testing Integration Testing End-to-End Testing CI/CD Experience Required Senior-level experience in Java Full Stack Development . Experience providing technical leadership or guidance to engineering teams. Experience with software development, testing, deployment, and technical delivery. Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing technical dependencies. Experience delivering system or partner integrations and phased releases.
