Position: IT Support Technician Location: Ehrlich Park, Bloemfontein Employment Type: Contract / Fixed-Term 3 Years Position Overview Our client is seeking an experienced End User Technical Support Technician to provide dedicated onsite technical support. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing hands-on end-user support, troubleshooting hardware and software faults, installing and configuring ICT equipment and ensuring that incidents are resolved efficiently and professionally. This is a fully onsite position and the successful candidate must be comfortable working independently as the primary technical resource at the site. Key Responsibilities Provide onsite technical support to end users. Install and configure computers, laptops, peripherals and ICT equipment. Install operating systems, productivity applications and drivers. Diagnose and resolve hardware and software problems. Troubleshoot connectivity and network endpoint issues. Perform hardware repairs and component replacements where required. Relocate ICT equipment as required. Assist with software and application rollouts. Record and manage incidents and service requests through the ITSM system. Ensure accurate documentation of work performed and resolutions. Support video conferencing, presentations and technical events. Assist with network, hardware and system troubleshooting. Escalate complex incidents appropriately. Maintain professional communication with users and client stakeholders. Assist with business continuity and disaster recovery technical requirements. Comply with client health, safety, security and technical procedures. Perform additional technical duties as required. Minimum Requirements Grade 12 / Matric. A+ certification. N+ certification. Apple Essentials certification Advantageous Linux Essentials certification Advantageous Minimum 2 Years relevant IT support experience. Valid South African driver's licence. Own reliable vehicle. Willingness to travel between client locations when required. No criminal record. Desired Skills: Support EUC A+ N+ APPLE LINUX
