Our client is looking for an experienced Platform / Cloud Engineer to join a collaborative engineering team focused on building, automating, and supporting modern cloud platforms. This opportunity is ideal for professionals passionate about Kubernetes, AWS, DevOps, and Site Reliability Engineering who enjoy solving complex infrastructure challenges and enabling high-performing development teams. Key Responsibilities Build, maintain, and optimise cloud-native platforms hosted on AWS. Administer Kubernetes environments, including networking, ingress, and RBAC. Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or similar technologies. Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools. Improve platform reliability through monitoring, observability, and automation. Support release management and deployment processes. Apply Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles to enhance platform stability. Collaborate with development teams to build scalable internal platforms and tooling. Requirements AWS Associate Certification or equivalent commercial experience. Strong experience with AWS services including EKS, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudFront, and Fargate. Practical Kubernetes administration experience. Experience with Helm, Kustomize, ArgoCD, or Flux. Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDKs. Strong CI/CD experience using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps. Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, or similar monitoring tools. Linux administration experience. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully.
