Job Description: Job Title Full Stack Lead Engineer, Credit Flow Trading Technology Corporate Title Vice President Location New York Overview As a Full Stack Lead Engineer supporting the technology platform for the US Credit Flow Trading business, covering both Cash and Derivatives trading workflows on the Whole Loans Trading Technology team, you will partner closely with the Trading Desk, Operations, and downstream teams to accelerate key strategic initiatives—including the rollout of the next-generation Trader Desktop across Cash and Derivatives, delivery of the FIC Front-to-Back (F2B) transformation agenda. You will lead innovation and drive the adoption of modern engineering practices and technologies, while serving as a senior technical voice within Credit Technology. Accountable for coordinating development activities, managing dependencies and mitigating deliver risks across the program Work alongside the lead Desk Strat responsible for tradable implementation, translating trading desk requirements into scalable technology solutions. Provide technical leadership on platform design, architecture and implementation strategy to support front office trading workflows and future business growth Collaborate with the D2C Core Lead to deliver SPR integration components and ensure seamless connectivity between trading applications and core strategic platforms. Accountable for overseeing integration design, development standards, and cross-team technical alignment to support end-to-end trading capabilities Skills You’ll Need Extensive hands-on experience with Java and Python for building scalable, high‑performance backend services Strong experience developing modern front-end applications using React, including state management and component design Understanding of Derivative products, especially Credit and Interest Rate derivatives including product lifecycle Deep understanding of Kubernetes and containerized microservices architectures, including deployment, scaling, and troubleshooting Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience) Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimize workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs Skills That Will Help You Excel Strong ownership mindset with the ability to drive complex technical initiatives end-to-end Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across engineering, product, and business teams Experience working in distributed systems and high-availability environments Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices Self-starter who thrives in fast-paced, high-impact environments Expectations It is the Bank’s expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the NY office in accordance with the Bank’s hybrid working model. That number is real. WorkMundi's database shows 144,883 open engineer roles across the world. India has the most with 31,687 jobs, followed by the United States with 30,084. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.
When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
