Production Engineer Purpose: Develop, specify, purchase, set-up, follow up, optimize, and improve all different production equipment used in production and within industrialization projects to achieve the highest levels of quality and productivity whilst minimizing costs Responsibility: Production engineering tasks in production and industrialization projects. Tasks: 1. Team member of the Production engineering department in Örebro. Participate in the departments’ strategic and operational work. 2. Specify, develop, purchase, setup and follow up new production equipment. 3. Follow up and improve production equipment in production. 4. Operation times & ERP system updates. 5. Create and maintain P-FMEA’s & Control Plans. 6. Support production groups & operators in production engineering issues and problems. 7. Develop and continuously improve production methods. 8. Create and maintain product documentation & work instructions. 9. Daily work with tachograph security issues and maybe assigned to join the security action group in Örebro. 10. Build and evaluate prototypes based on our processes, and give feedback to design, together with prototype builder. 11. Participate in PAR work for new equipment. 12. Participate in quotation and liaison work for new business. 13. Participate in the implementation process of Change Requests and Change Orders. 14. Support in QA matters, if needed. 15. Participate and support in product audits & internal revisions, if required by QA. 16. Develop and improve production group and factory layout. 17. Participate in quality projects, internal and from customer. 18. Monitor, follow up and improve production engineering targets: ¤ Test yields. ¤ Production group efficiency. ¤ Production group stop times. ¤ OEE measurement. ¤ Internal PPM statistics. Requirements: BSc or technical education at high school and/or or equivalent long-term experience with similar tasks. Languages: Swedish and English >5 years industrial experience, production engineering or quality. Electronics production, PC (office) Good “Service minded” skills.

Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.
When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
