Job Purpose The Senior Engineer, Pipe stress analysis role has been established to strengthen the engineering capabilities required to support the tendering and execution of the Subsea Production Systems (SPS) business. Based in Hyderabad, the position will provide engineering support for projects executed locally as well as for global TechnipFMC offices. The role is responsible for performing pipe stress analysis and design of subsea production system equipment and structures using industry-standard methodologies and tools. The engineer will provide technical expertise and leadership in design, analysis, and verification, ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, and project requirements. In addition, the role will drive innovation and continuous improvement by developing optimized, reliable, and cost-effective solutions for subsea applications. The position will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to support successful project delivery while advancing the organization's technical excellence in SPS engineering. You are meant for this job if: Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent Must be proficient in use of piping analysis programs such as Autopipe, Triflex Knowledge of international offshore piping standards and design codes such as ASME B31.8, ASME B31.3, DNVGL-RP-F112 and NORSOK Standards Minimum 8 years of relevant industry experience analyzing offshore or subsea equipment in the oil & gas industry. Detailed knowledge of engineering related to Layout & piping materials and piping systems of offshore oil and gas industry, codes, standards / specs. Proficient in Vortex Induced Vibration analysis and Operational Fatigue life assessments Knowledge in Collapse pressure and pipe buckling check as per DNV ST F101 Participate in the preparation of manhour estimate, Preparation of document register, schedule and estimates. Review contract requirements for project execution, Review client document, preparation of the deliverables list, prepare and check the following: - Piping specifications, SP item Data Sheets, Valve data sheets, Piping wall thickness calculations, Piping Material Specifications (PMS), Piping & Instrument Diagrams (P&ID’s), Plot plans and General Arrangement (GA) drawings Preparation and checking of stress analysis reports in Triflex/Autopipe software. Prepare the nozzle load and pipe support load and coordinate with mechanical and structural as required Demonstrated ability to independently create functional & cost effective designs that meet complex specification requirements. Must have the ability and initiative to communicate, gather information and make sound engineering decisions. Knowledge in CAD system (e.g. Inventor, Pro/E, Unigraphics etc.). Able to work independently and interface with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced project environment. Skills Design Appraisal through Analysis - SSE Eng.
