Reporting to the Reliability Superintendent, you will be responsible for identifying and reporting on asset reliability to reduce the risk of fixed plant and equipment performance adversely affecting processing. Permanent role with a leading gold producer 6% site allowance and quarterly bonus up to 10% annually Monthly private health allowance Minimum of 5 weeks annual leave, dependent on roster. 18 weeks parental leave $10K employee referral bonus Skills & Qualifications A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Industrial) Six Sigma Black Belt is desireable Advanced SAP proficiency A valid Western Australian Driver’s Licence, ideally a MR or HR Driver’s Licence Knowledge and application of relevant statutory obligations Experience in the application of Reliability Centered Maintenance and proven experience with Fixed Plant Maintenance Good working knowledge of FMECA and Root Cause Analysis Demonstrated ability to develop Reliability Block Diagrams About the Role Contribute to the development of strategies and tactics that effectively reduce plant and equipment downtime through improvements to asset modification, maintenance strategies and routines; Contribute to the development of the reliability program of inspections, sampling, analysis, and reporting; Provide information and analysis on all plant and equipment to extend the life of all assets and assist in problem identification, make recommendations ensuring plant and equipment reaches life expectancy and performs near or at, nameplate capacity; Ensure reliability of plant and equipment through identification and management of reliability maintenance efficiency improvements by reviewing, developing, and optimising maintenance strategies and tactics; Ensure reliability work is executed to a high standard and reported in order to anticipate reliability-related risks that could adversely impact critical asset uptime; Coordinate with engineering to ensure a good handover of new/modified plant/equipment installations, required documentation and update changes to the master data and planning documentation; Employ failure modes and effects analysis and criticality analysis to maintain effective, timely and accurate reliability reporting; Developing and maintaining Reliability Block Diagrams; Utilise Reliability Availability Maintainability analysis to identify reliability bottlenecks in the processing plant. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.
When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
