The Principal Integration Engineer will be instrumental in defining and advancing integration standards, fostering innovation, and ensuring the scalability, reliability, and security of critical data flows across Bunge’s global operations. Main Accountabilities: Integration Development: Design, development, and deployment of complex, scalable, and secure integration solutions using modern integration platforms such as MuleSoft Anypoint Platform or SAP Integration Suite, including APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures. Strategic Solution Design: Drive the analysis of complex integration requirements, translating high-level business needs into comprehensive technical specifications and innovative solution designs that align with Bunge’s long-term strategic objectives. Enterprise API & Event-Driven Strategy: Implement enterprise API and event-driven integration strategies, promoting reusability, modularity, and adherence to established standards and best practices. Advanced Problem Resolution: Apply advanced expertise to diagnose and resolve highly intricate technical problems within the integration landscape, often addressing situations where no clear precedent exists. Continuous Improvement & Innovation: Act as a thought leader, identifying opportunities for process, product, or service improvements, and proactively recommending and implementing new technologies and methodologies to enhance Bunge's integration capabilities. Technical Guidance & Mentorship: Provide expert technical guidance and mentorship to other integration engineers and team members, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous professional development. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as a principal technical liaison, collaborating with diverse internal and external stakeholders, including business units, other IT departments, and external vendors, to ensure robust and effective integration solutions. Performance & Governance: Establish and enforce best practices for integration testing, monitoring, performance optimization, and comprehensive technical documentation, ensuring operational excellence and compliance with architectural governance. Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a closely related field 6+ years of progressively responsible experience in integration engineering, solution architecture, or a related technical role, demonstrating deep technical leadership and expertise. Extensive hands-on experience with enterprise-grade integration platforms and technologies. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.
When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one.
