The IT Engineer IV – Cloud Platform Solutions is a senior-level engineering role focused on driving enterprise cloud strategy, architecture, and platform enablement. This position combines hands-on engineering expertise with architecture leadership to build, scale, and optimize secure, resilient, and high-performing cloud environments across the organization. Job Description The IT Engineer IV – Cloud Platform Solutions plays a key role in designing, implementing, and evolving enterprise cloud capabilities aligned to business and technology strategy. This role is responsible for leading cloud adoption, establishing standards, and enabling engineering teams through scalable platform solutions. This position also serves as a technical leader and subject matter expert, providing guidance across cloud architecture, DevOps practices, and platform engineering, while ensuring operational stability and performance. How You'll Spend Your Time • Lead the design and implementation of cloud architecture and platform strategy aligned to enterprise goals • Architect and deliver secure, scalable, and resilient solutions across AWS and/or Azure environments • Drive cloud enablement through reusable infrastructure patterns, templates, and self-service capabilities • Design and implement Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and automated CI/CD pipelines to support modern DevOps practices • Establish and enforce cloud governance standards, including policy-as-code, security controls, and compliance frameworks • Partner with application, security, and architecture teams to support cloud migration strategies (rehost, refactor, replatform, rearchitect) • Implement and enhance observability practices, including monitoring, logging, and reliability engineering standards • Drive cost optimization and FinOps practices, including cloud usage analysis and efficiency improvements • Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to engineering teams across the organization Education & Experience Requirements This level of knowledge is typically acquired through a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, and/or equivalent experience • 10+ years of experience in cloud engineering, platform engineering, or enterprise architecture roles • Strong expertise in AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms • Extensive experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), CI/CD pipelines, and cloud automation • Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and modern application architectures • Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Architect Expert) preferred BOK Financial Corporation Group is a stable and financially strong organization that provides excellent training and development to support building the long term careers of employees. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.
When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one.
