Purpose of the Job The D&T Integration Engineer plays a critical role in handling customer and system integration within Aramex’s global network. This includes building and supporting integrations with customers, third parties, and internal systems (such as SAP, CargoWise, and Infolink), and automating the exchange of shipping, tracking, and financial data across the network. The team also owns the Aramex Shipping API, which allows customer systems to communicate directly with Aramex’s shipping and tracking systems, along with the enterprise iPaaS platform (Boomi) used to design, deploy, and operate integration processes at scale. Job Description Customer: Proactively engage with customers, vendors, and internal teams across the Technology division and the business to understand integration requirements and desired outcomes. Support customer onboarding onto Aramex integration channels (API, EDI, file-based), from requirements through UAT and go-live. Convey technical integration concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders. People: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product teams, business analysts, operations, and IT, to deliver end-to-end integration solutions. Provide training and support to business users on iPaaS and API capabilities and tools. Operations: Manage and maintain existing integration solutions, ensuring they are efficient, reliable, and secure. Monitor integration platform health and process execution; investigate and resolve incidents (failed processes, connectivity issues, queue backlogs) within agreed SLAs. Develop and manage APIs to enable seamless communication between applications and systems, ensuring they are secure, efficient, and well documented. Implement data transformation, cleansing, and enrichment processes while safeguarding data integrity across systems. Conduct thorough testing and validation of integration solutions against quality standards. Recommend and implement improvements to enhance integration processes, monitoring, and platform stability. Financial Result: Implement cost-effective integration solutions, leveraging cloud platforms and technologies to optimize resource utilization and reduce operational costs. Manage multiple integration projects and support tasks simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery within budget constraints Job Requirements - Experience and Education Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field. 0-2 years of experience in software development or systems integration, including: Integration development on an iPaaS platform, preferably Boomi (process design, connectors, APIs, error handling, deployment). API development and consumption using REST and SOAP, including authentication, versioning, and documentation. Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) formats such as X12 and EDIFACT, and FTP/SFTP connection setup and troubleshooting. Relational database systems such as MSSQL, including table design, stored procedures, and reporting queries. .NET-based development using C#. Strong knowledge of integration patterns, RESTful APIs, web services, and messaging/queueing concepts (e.g., RabbitMQ). Familiarity with API management platforms is a plus. Experience integrating with ERP, TMS, or logistics platforms (e.g., SAP, CargoWise) is a plus. AWS and/or Azure experience is a plus. Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to learn, explore, understand, and troubleshoot complex systems and integration setups. Ability to convey knowledge and provide training. Excellent communication skills — working across multiple projects and communicating technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively. A team player who supports other team members and has the confidence to ask for assistance when needed. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully.
