Job Summary Vehicle Dynamics Engineer - Department: NPD - CMB RD - Section: Chassis System CMB RD - Location: Hosur Education and Qualifications B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering / Automobile Engineering M.E./M.Tech in Automotive Engineering, Vehicle Dynamics, Mechanical Systems Design, or equivalent (Preferred) Additional Qualification (Please mention professional qualification or etc.,) Certification or hands-on experience in MSC ADAMS/Car, MotionSolve, HyperMesh, MATLAB/Simulink, or Python. Knowledge of FTire, Vehicle Dynamics will be an added advantage. Hands on experience on vehicle level part level testing Required Experience: 3-8 Years Responsibilities Develop, validate, and optimize full-vehicle and subsystem Multi-Body Dynamics (MBD) models using MSC ADAMS/Car, ADAMS/View, and MotionSolve for Ride Handling, Steering, Durability, and Vehicle Performance studies. Perform Ride Handling CAE simulations to evaluate and optimize ride comfort, handling, stability, steering characteristics, braking behavior, and overall vehicle dynamics. Conduct suspension and steering system tuning, including optimization of springs, dampers, anti-roll bars, bushes, bump stops, steering geometry, and KC characteristics. Plan and execute subjective and objective Ride Handling tests, benchmark studies, and vehicle characterization activities to validate performance targets. Correlate CAE models with physical test data using FTire, MF-Tyre, and Pacejka tire models to improve simulation accuracy and reduce prototype iterations. Define, plan, and execute Part-Level and Vehicle-Level Design Verification Plan (DVP) tests, including result analysis and validation sign-off. Develop and perform durability simulations, including Virtual RLDA, WFT load cascading, Four-Poster rig simulation, load generation, and proving ground correlation. Analyze RLDA and durability test data using nCode GlyphWorks for fatigue assessment, load spectrum generation, and durability target achievement. Drive Product Quality Management (PQM) closure activities through root cause analysis, corrective action implementation, verification, and cross-functional issue resolution. Prepare technical reports, simulation and test documentation, engineering recommendations, and collaborate with Design, Testing, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supplier teams to achieve vehicle performance, durability, and quality targets.
