Job Description Role & responsibilities Role Overview We are looking for a UI Lead with 8 to 12 years of deep expertise in Next.js and modern frontend architecture to lead the revamp of our Underwriting Platform. This role requires a strong combination of hands-on engineering, UI architecture design, and team leadership. You will be responsible for building a scalable, high-performance, and intuitive UI layer that supports complex underwriting workflows, data-heavy screens, and realtime interactions. Key Responsibilities Technical Leadership Lead the endtoend UI revamp using Next.js (App Router preferred) and React ecosystem Define and implement frontend architecture (SSR, SSG, ISR strategies) Drive performance optimization (Core Web Vitals, lazy loading, caching strategies) Establish reusable UI component libraries and design systems Platform Engineering Design UI for complex underwriting workflows (rules, approvals, audit trails) Build scalable state management solutions (Redux Toolkit / Zustand / React Query) Integrate with backend services (REST / GraphQL APIs) Ensure secure UI practices (authentication, authorization, data protection) User Experience & Design Partner with UX teams to deliver intuitive and efficient workflows Translate business underwriting logic into clean UI interactions Ensure accessibility (WCAG compliance) and responsive design Team Leadership Lead and mentor a team of frontend engineers Conduct code reviews and enforce best practices Collaborate with backend, product, and DevOps teams Drive Agile delivery (sprint planning, estimations, tracking) Required Skills Frontend Expertise Strong handson experience with Next.js and React Deep understanding of: ServerSide Rendering (SSR) Static Site Generation (SSG) Incremental Static Regeneration (ISR) Proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+) UI Architecture Experience designing largescale enterprise UI platforms Strong knowledge of: Componentdriven architecture Microfrontend patterns (optional but preferred) API integration patterns Performance & Optimization Experience with performance tuning and monitoring Knowledge of caching strategies, CDN usage, and edge rendering Styling & UI Frameworks Experience with MUI Design system implementation experience is a big plus Tooling & DevOps Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines Experience with tools like Webpack, Vite Version control using Git Job Classification Industry: IT Services & Consulting Functional Area / Department: Engineering - Software & QA Role Category: Software Development Role: Full Stack Developer Employement Type: Full time Contact Details: Company: Sonata Software Location(s): Hyderabad Ability to work in a team environment with members of varying skill levels.
