Position Summary: Taleo ID (26000BVK)As a Specialist Systems Engineer (L2) with at least 4+ years of experience in VMware, you will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and troubleshooting large scale VMware virtualization environments and associated hardware infrastructure. You will provide hands on support for VMware deployments, ensuring high availability, performance, and operational excellence within a global enterprise context. Primary Competencies . Strong understanding of virtualization technologies with extensive experience managing enterprise scale VMware deployments. . Hands on expertise with VMware versions 7.X and 8.X, VCF 9.0 as well as Nutanix hyperconverged infrastructure. . Proficient in VMware vCenter and host level operations. . Solid command line skills on ESX hosts for diagnostics and troubleshooting. . In depth knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Distributed Resource Scheduler (DRS) configurations and management. . Experience in performance tuning and capacity planning for VMware environments. . Skilled in administration and management of virtual machines, clusters, and storage with HA and DRS enabled. . Competent in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting ESXi servers. . Expertise in storage configuration including VMFS3, VMFS5, NFS, and Raw Device Mapping (RDM). . Proficient in configuring and troubleshooting vMotion and Storage vMotion operations. . Experience managing vCenter access, authentication, roles, and permissions. . Ability to create and manage snapshots, host profiles, storage profiles, and affinity rules. . Experience deploying and configuring VMware Update Manager and managing alarms and alerts. . Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
