Job Summary On behalf of our India-based client in the Telecommunications Technology sector, we are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer with strong, hands-on expertise in OpenShift and Kubernetes to design, deploy, and manage containerized applications in enterprise production environments. The role involves automation using Ansible, Python, and Shell scripting, along with Linux system administration, cluster operations, and platform reliability engineering. This remote position is available under multiple engagement models, including full-time employment, part-time assignments, and contract-based arrangements. Key Responsibilities Design, deploy, and manage containerized applications using OpenShift and Kubernetes Build and maintain automation workflows using Ansible Develop and maintain operational scripts using Python and Shell Manage and troubleshoot Linux-based systems in enterprise environments Perform cluster upgrades, patching, monitoring, and performance tuning Work closely with application teams to enable CI/CD and container adoption Troubleshoot production issues related to containers, infrastructure, and automation Ensure platform reliability, scalability, and security best practices Contribute to documentation, standards, and operational runbooks Required Skills OpenShift & Kubernetes: have worked for 34+ years and has firm grip on cluster administration, deployments, networking, and storage Ansible: 23+ years developing playbooks, roles, and automation workflows Python: 23 years of scripting and automation experience Shell Scripting: 45 years of strong Bash/Shell scripting experience Linux: Strong hands-on experience with system administration Virtualization: Knowledge of VMware is a strong advantage Good to Have Exposure to CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, etc.) Demonstrated work on monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK) Conceptual knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP) Infrastructure as Code exposure (Terraform is a plus) AI Experience Familiarity with AI-assisted monitoring, log analysis, or anomaly-detection tools is a plus Exposure to AI copilots (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT) for scripting and automation support Interest in applying AI-driven automation to cluster operations and incident response Managerial Experience This is an individual contributor role; candidates should demonstrate strong ownership and the ability to work closely with application, infrastructure, and CI/CD teams Operational Experience Experience with end-to-end platform operations: cluster upgrades, patching, monitoring, and performance tuning Experience troubleshooting production issues across containers, infrastructure, and automation layers Experience maintaining operational runbooks, documentation, and standards Familiarity with security best practices for containerized and virtualized environments Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree (any specialization) Minimum 8 years of total experience, including hands-on OpenShift/Kubernetes and automation experience Ability to work independently in production environments as part of a remote, distributed team Certifications (Preferred, Not Mandatory) Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration, or equivalent Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or similar Any relevant cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP) certification is a plus Submit Resume at apply@digitalxnode.com Explore More Job Opportunities at digitalxnode.com/fte/ .

Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully.
