We prioritize practical engineering solutions, foster strong collaboration, and embrace continuous learning in a dynamic, high-impact environment. Our ultimate mission is to embed EMC robustness into product designs from the very beginning, enabling Cisco to deliver reliable, high-quality products to market with efficiency and confidence. By proactively integrating EMC considerations early in the development cycle, we help safeguard product performance and compliance, supporting Ciscos commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction. Your Impact As an EMC Design Engineer, you will partner closely with hardware development teams to ensure products achieve electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) compliance while meeting performance, cost, and schedule objectives. You will influence product designs from architecture through production by providing EMC expertise, conducting design reviews, leading troubleshooting activities, and supporting worldwide regulatory compliance. ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with hardware design teams throughout the product development lifecycle to ensure EMC compliance is incorporated early in the design process.Work cross-functionally with Hardware, Mechanical, Signal Integrity, Power Integrity, PCB Layout, Thermal, Manufacturing, and Regulatory teams during design, verification, and product qualification.Review schematics, PCB layouts, mechanical designs, routing, shielding, grounding, and system architectures to identify EMC risks and recommend design improvements.Work with EMC test team to perform pre-compliance and compliance EMC testing, analyze test results, diagnose EMI issues, and develop practical, cost-effective mitigation solutions.Lead EMC debugging activities using laboratory instrumentation including spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, near-field probes, LISNs, network analyzers, current probes, and other diagnostic tools.Balance EMC performance with product cost, manufacturability, reliability, signal integrity, and power integrity considerations.Support worldwide regulatory certifications by working with internal teams and external test laboratories.Develop EMC design guidelines, best practices, and documentation to improve first-pass compliance success across product lines.Manage multiple projects simultaneously while delivering high-quality technical results within aggressive development schedules. 144,883 engineer jobs are open right now

Here's how to pick the right one and stand out in your application.

144.883Jobs

That number is real. WorkMundi's database shows 144,883 open engineer roles across the world. India has the most with 31,687 jobs, followed by the United States with 30,084. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.

Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.

Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.

When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
