Who We Are Verve has created a more efficient and privacy-focused way to buy and monetize advertising. Verve is an ecosystem of demand and supply technologies fusing data, media, and technology together to deliver results and growth to both advertisers and publishers–no matter the screen or location, no matter who, what, or where a customer is. With 30 offices across the globe and with an eye on servicing forward-thinking advertising customers, Verve’s solutions are trusted by more than 90 of the United States’ top 100 advertisers, 4,000 publishers globally, and the world’s top demand-side platforms. Learn more at verve.com . Who You Are You'll work within the core team to implement, optimize, and scale Verve's Android HyBid SDK ecosystem , turning architectural initiatives into reliable, production-ready modules running across millions of end-user devices. This is library and SDK work, with all the memory, threading, and performance constraints that come with running inside external host applications, so understanding the difference between SDK development and standard app development matters here. We're hiring across two levels on the same team : Level II (Engineer II): you take well-defined specifications and turn them into high-quality, predictable implementations, collaborating closely with the team. Level III (Senior): you provide technical leadership, architectural vision, and end-to-end ownership of the SDK, working with a high degree of autonomy and mentoring others along the way. What You Will Do SDK Core Development & Architecture: Develop, refine, and optimize critical submodules of the Android HyBid SDK, and at the senior level, architect and lead its evolution, focusing on safe multi-threaded execution, low memory footprints, binary-size budgets, backward compatibility, and crash-free integration into diverse host applications Product Collaboration: Partner with product managers and business stakeholders to estimate feature effort, refine technical requirements, and prioritize delivery, from sprint-level scope to strategic SDK roadmaps driven by technical feasibility and business impact Cross-Platform Parity: Work alongside the iOS team, reading and navigating the Swift/Objective-C codebase to cross-reference logic, guarantee behavioral consistency, and keep release scopes synchronized across platforms Team Collaboration, Quality & Leadership: Contribute to technical refinement sessions, code reviews, documentation, and bug-resolution cycles, and as you grow, set core standards (binary-size budgets, backward-compatibility validation) and mentor mid-level engineers Architecture & Privacy: Implement, update, and test the integration layers supporting Google's Android Privacy Sandbox (Topics API, SDK Runtime modules) and user-consent data pipelines (GDPR/TCF 2.x). At the senior level, lead their structural design, translating strict privacy regulations into high-performance SDK code. Embedded Telemetry: Build and refine our custom embedded crash-logging and exception-dump mechanism, a lightweight, non-intrusive system that captures SDK runtime faults with safe local persistence and delivery, without colliding with the host app's native reporting infrastructure Mediation & Viewability: Develop, test, and optimize high-priority mediation adapters, focusing on the AppLovin MAX integration pathway, and programmatic viewability tracking via the embedded IAB Open Measurement (OM) SDK Automation Frameworks: Maintain and run continuous integration pipelines, migrate testing matrices to cloud-hosted test environments (BrowserStack, Sauce Labs), and consolidate build and release workflows from CircleCI to GitHub Actions What You Will Bring Core (all levels): Strong competency in Kotlin and Java , with a clear understanding of multi-threaded code execution, network-layer containment, and standard Android debugging practices. A genuine understanding of the difference between SDK/library development and standard app development : the strict memory, threading, and performance constraints of running inside third-party apps. Comfort navigating and reading fundamental iOS (Swift/Objective-C) patterns to perform comparative logic tracking when troubleshooting feature parity. Familiarity with GCP / Google Cloud environments, and a pragmatic, safe approach to leveraging modern AI development tools (e.g., Copilot, LLMs) to boost productivity, accelerate debugging, and maintain high code quality. Level II (Engineer II): 3+ years of professional Android development, with a strong emphasis on library development, modular frameworks, SDKs, or complex shared utilities intended for third-party consumption. Ability to take well-defined technical specifications, break them down into implementation tasks, and complete them with predictable quality and strong team coordination. Level III (Senior): 6+ years of Android software engineering, with a verified history of building, optimizing, and distributing standalone binary frameworks ( .AAR libraries, SDKs ). Proven capability to lead complex, ambiguous projects from conceptual design to global production deployment with minimal oversight. Expert proficiency in modern Kotlin and foundational Java, with deep mastery of custom ClassLoaders, thread synchronization safety, process lifecycles, and Android memory profiling . What We Offer Just a few of the benefits waiting for you at Verve: Keep healthy through our Apollo Health Check-ups , and stay covered with our Medical Insurance for you and your family Pick what matters most to you in our INR 4100/month Personalized Benefits Platform: Travel, entertainment, food, fitness, and healthcare Have us cover your office lunches 3 times a week through Zomato , and enjoy office sweets, snacks, and beverages Boost your professional knowledge with our annual training budget & internal webinars , and level up your language skills through our German/English classes Recharge with 19 paid vacation days + 3 Wellness days throughout the year, in addition to the public holidays Strengthen team connections while exploring new cultures through our monthly Work&Travel raffle, offering a chance to work from one of our global offices (after 2 years of employment) … and even more reasons to join us! Here's how to pick the right one and stand out in your application.

That number is real. WorkMundi's database shows 144,883 open engineer roles across the world. India has the most with 31,687 jobs, followed by the United States with 30,084. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.

Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.

Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.

When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
