Senior Automation Tester - Selenium/Playwright Testing (India)

Role Summary : We are looking for experienced Senior Automation Test Engineers with strong expertise in Java or Python-based Test Automation across enterprise applications. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in automation framework development, UI and API automation, and continuous testing. Exposure to Playwright or any modern automation tool will be considered a strong advantage. Key Responsibilities : - Analyse business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to define automation scope and test strategy. - Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks using Java or Python with Selenium WebDriver. - Develop and execute automated test scripts for functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing. - Perform API testing and backend validation to ensure application quality and data integrity. - Enhance and maintain reusable automation libraries, utilities, and test assets. - Identify, log, track, and verify defects while collaborating closely with development teams for timely resolution. - Integrate automation test suites into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing. - Participate in test planning, sprint ceremonies, defect triage, and release validation activities. - Prepare automation execution reports, test metrics, and quality dashboards for stakeholders. - Mentor junior automation engineers and contribute to automation best practices and continuous process improvements. Required Skills : - 5 - 10 years of experience in Software Testing with strong expertise in Test Automation. - Strong programming skills in Java or Python. - Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver and automation framework development. - Experience in developing and executing functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end automated test suites. - Good experience in API Testing using Rest Assured, Postman, or similar tools. - Experience with automation frameworks such as TestNG, JUnit, PyTest, or equivalent. - Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar. - Experience with Playwright, Cypress, or other contemporary UI automation tools is highly desirable. - Good working knowledge of SQL for database validation. - Experience using Jira, ALM, or similar test management and defect tracking tools. - Good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). - Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills. .
