Role Description The Area Manager Sales and Application Round Tools Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Chennai Area. This position is responsible for managing sales activities for round cutting tools, building and maintaining relationships with industrial customers, and expanding the customer base in the assigned territory. Daily tasks include visiting customer sites, understanding machining processes, recommending appropriate tool solutions, preparing quotations, and following up to close orders. The role also involves providing technical application support, conducting product demonstrations and trials, handling customer queries, and coordinating with internal teams for order processing and after-sales support. The specialist is expected to monitor market trends, report on competitor activity, meet sales targets, and maintain accurate records in CRM or sales tracking systems. Qualifications Strong sales and business development capabilities, including territory management, customer relationship building, and negotiation skills.Technical knowledge of cutting tools, machining processes, and industrial applications, with the ability to suggest suitable round tool solutions.Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders.Ability to conduct on-site trials, troubleshoot application issues, and collaborate closely with production and engineering teams at customer locations.Comfort with using CRM or sales management tools, preparing reports, and working with basic MS Office applications.Bachelors degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related technical field is preferred.Prior experience in cutting tools, industrial tooling, or machining sales will be an advantage.Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently while meeting targets and travel regularly within the Greater Chennai Area. .
