Role Summary We are building a next-gen B2B SaaS platform in the financial-services domain (mutual funds). Our product engineering team focuses on domain modeling, operational compliance and feature development. We are now looking for an Engineering Leader who will own the non-functional pillars of the platform - security, performance, reliability, automation, observability, and engineering culture. This is a hands-on technical leadership role, reporting to the CTO/Founder and responsible for making our platform robust, compliant, performant, scalable, and secure. Key Responsibiities Own the non-functional architecture - security, performance, scalability, availability, resilience. Define and implement observability & monitoring frameworks (APM, logging, alerting, SLOs). Drive performance engineering - profiling, load testing, capacity planning, and optimization. Champion engineering culture - coding standards, documentation norms, design reviews, and technical excellence rituals. Build and lead the QA & automation strategy, including automated regression, performance testing, and CI/CD quality gates. Act as a technical ambassador with customers, demonstrating platform scalability, security, reliability, and participating in due-diligence or technical evaluation discussions. Partner with product engineering leads to ensure features meet rigorous non-functional requirements. Mentor engineers on best practices and elevate overall engineering maturity. Requirements 10+ years in software engineering, with deep expertise in security, SRE, QA automation, DevOps, or platform engineering. Strong working knowledge of cloud-native architecture, microservices (in java, golang, ruby, nodejs, reactjs stacks), and distributed systems. Proven experience implementing security, performance, and reliability frameworks in a SaaS product. Experience in FinTech/RegTech/Financial Services is a strong plus. Hands-on ability to debug, profile, harden, and optimize systems. Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills. Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.

Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.

When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
