Job Overview We are looking for a skilled Backend WordPress Developer to join our development team. The candidate will be responsible for developing, customizing, maintaining, and optimizing WordPress websites and backend functionalities. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain WordPress websites and backend systems. Customize WordPress themes, plugins, and core functionality. Develop custom plugins and WordPress features as required. Work with PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Integrate APIs and third-party services. Troubleshoot bugs, errors, and performance issues. Optimize websites for speed, security, and scalability. Manage databases and perform regular website updates. Collaborate with frontend developers, designers, and other team members. Ensure websites are responsive, secure, and technically optimized. Required Skills Solid knowledge of WordPress and PHP. Positive understanding of MySQL/database management. Experience with WordPress themes and plugin development. Knowledge of REST APIs and third-party integrations. Understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Familiarity with Git/version control is an advantage. Valuable debugging and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Qualifications Bachelor's degree/diploma in Computer Science, IT, or a related field is preferred. 13 years of relevant WordPress development experience.
