The Impact of a Sr. Software Engineer, Applied AI - to Coupa: As part of the Applied AI team you will design, build, and extend the core agentic platform that powers Coupa's AI products. You will evaluate and use state of the art language models and frameworks to create the extensible platform used to power Coupa's AI strategy, working with internal product and development teams to empower them to deliver high quality AI capabilities across Coupa's product suite. You will directly participate in one of Coupa's top strategic initiatives, helping define and drive the future of Coupa's AI efforts. What You'll Do: - As a Senior Software Engineer in Applied AI, you will help design and build Coupas agentic AI platform, convert and adapt Coupas core offerings for AI discovery and execution, design and build Coupas AI product offerings and features, design and build the associated data systems, MCP servers, tools, and drive adoption of AI across technical teams. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.
