JOB FIELD Digitalization JOB TYPE Temporary JOB ID 143363 FLEXIBLE WORK OPTIONS On-site About the Role This contractual position is part of BASF's Global IP team, which plays a critical role in generating strategic technology and innovation insights. The team leverages advanced analytics, AI-ML, and Intellectual Property data to support technology scouting, trend analysis, competitive intelligence, innovation portfolio assessment, and strategic decision-making across the organization. he objective of this role is to transform complex internal and external data into actionable intelligence and continuously enhance the impact of IP Intelligence through modern digital and AI-driven methodologies. Key Responsibilities The successful candidate will contribute to: Designing and developing end-to-end AI and analytics solutions. Building scalable and modular AI applications. Developing and deploying LLM-powered solutions, AI agents, and workflow automation frameworks. Working with advanced technologies such as RAG, MCP, Knowledge Graphs, and Agentic AI. Data preprocessing, harmonization, feature engineering, and machine learning model development. Developing full-stack web applications and REST APIs. Leveraging tools and frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, LangSmith, LlamaIndex, CrewAI and related technologies. Collaborating with IP Intelligence experts to derive technology, innovation, and competitive insights from patent and scientific data. Desired Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Data Analytics, or a related field. 2-4 years of relevant professional experience. Strong proficiency in Python and data science libraries such as Pandas, Scikit-learn, Streamlit, SpaCy, NLTK, Hugging Face, Transformers, OpenAI. Experience in Machine Learning, NLP, Generative AI, and LLM integration. Experience developing Web Applications and REST APIs using Python and JavaScript frameworks. Exposure to Power BI, PowerApps, Power Automate, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud environments. Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen interest in applying AI within the Intellectual Property and Innovation Intelligence domain. .
