Job Description: QA Engineer (Manual Testing & Automation) Experience: 4+ Years Location: Hyderabad (Hybrid) Employment Type: Full-Time About the Role We are looking for hands-on QA Engineers with a strong background in both manual and automation testing to join our team. The ideal candidate has worked on real-world projects delivered to real customers not just internal or academic exercises and can independently own quality across the SDLC. Key Responsibilities Design, write, and execute detailed test cases, test plans, and test scenarios based on functional and non-functional requirements Perform manual testing including functional, regression, exploratory, integration, and UAT support Build, maintain, and scale automated test suites using Playwright (JavaScript/TypeScript preferred) Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/GitHub Actions/GitLab CI or similar) Identify, log, track, and verify bugs using tools like JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and clarify acceptance criteria Perform API testing (Postman/REST Assured or equivalent) Conduct cross-browser and cross-device testing Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives in an Agile/Scrum environment Analyze test results, prepare test summary reports, and communicate quality risks clearly to stakeholders Continuously improve test coverage, test strategy, and automation framework architecture Required Skills & Experience 4+ years of hands-on experience in software QA, with a mix of manual and automation testing Strong, demonstrable experience with Playwright for automation (must have shipped automation for live, customer-facing products not just POCs) Solid understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript (or willingness/ability to work in it for test scripting) Experience with API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured, or similar) Working knowledge of SQL for backend/data validation Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines Strong understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, and STLC Experience with bug tracking and test management tools (JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr, etc.) Proven experience working on production applications used by real, paying customers Excellent communication skills and ability to work directly with clients/stakeholders when needed Good to Have Experience with other automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress) Performance testing exposure (JMeter, k6) Experience with Docker/containerized test environments Exposure to mobile testing (Appium) ISTQB certification What We//'re Looking For Hands-on doers, not just process documenters someone who has actually built and maintained automation suites in production settings Candidates who can speak in detail about real projects: what they tested, what broke, how they automated it, and the impact it had for the customer Ownership mindset comfortable taking a feature from requirements to release-ready quality with minimal hand-holding .
