Role & responsibilities To work as an Embedded Software Engineer with solid expertise in navigation systems, including INS (Inertial Navigation Systems), IMU (Inertial Measurement Units), and GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite Systems). The role involves navigation algorithm design, embedded firmware development, and sensor integration, along with rigorous testing and calibration of navigation sensors to ensure accuracy and reliability in real-world environments. Software Analysis Develop, test, and optimize embedded C firmware for STM32 (ARM Cortex-M) microcontrollers. Work with RTOS (FreeRTOS or equivalent) for real-time task scheduling and system performance. Optimize code for real-time execution, memory efficiency, and power consumption. Design and develop navigation and sensor fusion algorithms for INS, IMU, and GNSS systems. Implement attitude estimation techniques using quaternions and Euler angles. Work on coordinate transformations, motion tracking, and filtering techniques (e.g., Kalman filters). Designing & Developing embedded S/W Planning & Designing the S/W for embedded products. Firmware Coding Working on various communication interfaces like UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, RS422, RS485 etc. Working on STM32 microcontrollers. Cross Compiling & Execution of the Firmware. To perform testing & Debugging Debugging to check the flow of S/W and H/W schematics. Perform sensor calibration including Bias, scale factor, and alignment calibration for IMU sensors. Conduct navigation performance validation, including Static and dynamic testing of INS/IMU/GNSS systems. Analyse sensor performance under vibration and shock conditions. Ensure robustness for automotive, aerospace, or industrial environments. Develop and maintain test procedures, data logging systems, and validation reports. Perform comparative analysis against reference systems/GNSS ground truth. Maintenance - Improving performance & upgrading the existing Software. Preferred candidate profile B. Tech or M Tech in ECE or EEE or equivalent field Minimum 3 years of Experience in firmware development Proficiency+ Hands-on experience in programming languages like C, C++, embedded C. Hands-on experience on Microcontrollers (STM32, NXP, etc.) Hands-on experience on communication protocols like UART (RS422, RS232 and RS485), SPI, I2C, CAN. Knowledge of Linux application development, Linux environment Knowledge and Ethernet. Knowledge of software tools like (GNU octave, basic MATLAB, dock light) and IDEs like (STM32 cube IDE, STM32 programmer, STM32 cube MX and Eclipse). Good if having Knowledge of Shell scripting, Python and QT. .
