The candidate will be responsible for product design, development, engineering drawings, design improvements, prototyping, and coordination with production and other departments to ensure successful product development and manufacturing. Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop new products, components, fixtures, and assemblies as per requirements. Prepare and modify 2D/3D CAD models, engineering drawings, and specifications . Perform design calculations, material selection, and basic engineering analysis. Develop prototypes and coordinate prototype testing and validation. Identify and implement design improvements for quality, performance, cost, and manufacturability. Work closely with Production, Quality, Purchase, and Tool Room teams for smooth product development. Review manufacturing feasibility and ensure designs are suitable for production. Prepare and maintain BOMs, design documents, drawings, and engineering records. Investigate design-related production issues and provide effective technical solutions. Support new product development from concept through production. Ensure designs comply with relevant engineering standards and company requirements. Required QualificationsDiploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field . Experience in design and development within a manufacturing/engineering environment . Good knowledge of mechanical components, manufacturing processes, and engineering materials. Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, CATIA, or similar CAD software . Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Preferred SkillsExperience in product development and design optimization. Knowledge of GD&T, DFM/DFA, and engineering standards. Exposure to CNC, fabrication, machining, sheet metal, or other manufacturing processes. Ability to work independently as well as coordinate with cross-functional teams.
