Position: Plumbing & Fire Design Engineer Location: [Mumbai / Bangalore / Gurgaon] Experience: 510 Years Industry: Infrastructure / EPC / Engineering Consultancy Key Responsibilities Design and engineering of Plumbing and Fire Protection systems for infrastructure and EPC projects. Prepare detailed design calculations, layouts, schematics, specifications and technical reports . Develop plumbing and fire protection layouts using AutoCAD and Revit/BIM . Design systems including: Hot & cold water systems Soil, waste and stormwater drainage Sewerage and water treatment interfaces Fire hydrant, sprinkler and fire water systems Fire pumps, tanks and associated firefighting infrastructure Carry out hydraulic calculations and equipment sizing for plumbing and firefighting systems. Coordinate with Civil, Structural, Electrical, HVAC, Architecture and other engineering disciplines to resolve design interfaces and clashes. Review project specifications, client requirements, applicable codes and standards, and ensure compliance. Prepare BOQs, equipment schedules, material specifications and tender documentation . Review drawings, technical submittals and vendor documents and provide engineering comments. Participate in design reviews, coordination meetings and client discussions . Support site/project teams during construction, including resolution of technical queries and design-related issues. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for BIM coordination and clash detection . Ensure designs are delivered within agreed quality, schedule and project requirements . Required Qualifications & Skills Bachelors/Diploma in Mechanical / Civil Engineering or relevant discipline. 510 years of relevant experience in Plumbing & Fire Protection design , preferably within Infrastructure, EPC or Engineering Consultancy projects. Strong knowledge of NBC, NFPA, IS Codes and other applicable international standards . Hands-on experience with AutoCAD ; exposure to Revit MEP/BIM is preferred. Good understanding of plumbing and firefighting design calculations and engineering principles. Experience in preparing design drawings, calculations, specifications and BOQs . Ability to coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary engineering teams. Positive communication, analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience in large-scale infrastructure, industrial, commercial, transportation, water or EPC projects will be an advantage. Preferred Experience Experience working with multidisciplinary design consultants or EPC organisations . Exposure to international projects and standards. Experience in BIM-based design and coordination . Ability to independently handle design deliverables from concept/design development through detailed engineering.
