Job Purpose The Team manager - HVAC is responsible for managing the design, engineering, and coordination of HVAC systems across multiple projects. This includes managing a multidisciplinary team, resolving technical issues, ensuring compliance with project requirements, and delivering high-quality designs on time. Key Responsibility Areas Responsibilities 1. Design and Engineering : Manage the design and engineering of HVAC systems, including water supply, drainage, STPs, pumps, fire suppression systems, and fire NOC-related designs while ensuring compliance with industry codes and project-specific requirements. Guide the team and vendors in designing pipe supports and other system-specific components. Conduct technical reviews of submittals, including shop drawings, technical data sheets (TDS), BOQs, and manual purchase requisitions (PRs). 2. Team Management: Prepare and guide the team to create submittal schedules, ensuring timely delivery of design packages. Allocate tasks to engineers and Revit modelers, monitor progress, and provide guidance on technical work. Conduct knowledge-sharing and training sessions to upskill the team on emerging technologies and best practices. 3. Technical Coordination and Compliance: Resolve cross-functional technical coordination issues and ensure integration with other disciplines like HVAC and electrical systems. Study project specifications, IFC drawings, BOQs, and supporting documents to ensure technical alignment. Check and approve technical offers and compliance documents from subcontractors and vendors. 4. Quality Assurance and Process Improvement: Ensure all submittals, including shop drawings, BOQs, and technical documents, meet project specifications and compliance standards. Implement process improvements to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of design deliverables. 5. Stakeholder Coordination: Provide technical inputs to subcontractors, site teams, and vendors to resolve queries and ensure smooth execution. Attend and actively participate in coordination meetings with internal and external stakeholders to address design and project challenges. Ensure alignment of technical deliverables with client expectations and project timelines. Job Qualifications and Requirements 1. 10-15 years of qualified experience in HVAC system design and project management. 2. Expertise in designing and implementing water supply, drainage, STPs, fire suppression systems, and pipe support systems. 3. Experience with control panel logic, system schematics, and networking for specialized components like nitrogen generators. 4. Comprehensive understanding of codes and standards (NBC, NFPA, IS). 5. Proven ability to manage technical work across multiple projects and stakeholders. 1. Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering. 2. Membership in recognized plumbing or fire-fighting societies (preferred). 3. Certification in BIM or advanced design tools (desirable). 1. Proficient in MS Office Suite, AutoCAD, BIM, and Navisworks for design and project documentation. 2. Robust command over plumbing and fire-fighting systems, including pumps, STPs, reaction cabinets, sprinklers, and fire suppression systems. 3.
