Job Description Purchase Engineer / Executive Location: Goa Experience: 38 Years Department: Purchase / Supply Chain Industry: Electronics Manufacturing / EMS Job Summary We are looking for an experienced Purchase Engineer / Executive to manage procurement activities and ensure timely availability of materials required for production. The ideal candidate should have strong vendor management and negotiation skills, with knowledge or experience in electronics/electronic components preferred. Key Responsibilities Manage end-to-end procurement activities for production and operational requirements.Source and evaluate suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery, and reliability.Identify and develop new vendors to support business requirements.Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and other commercial terms.Raise and manage Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure timely material delivery.Coordinate with suppliers regarding order status, shortages, delays, and quality issues.Work closely with Production, Planning, Stores, Quality, and Engineering teams to ensure uninterrupted material availability.Monitor inventory levels and support procurement planning based on production requirements.Maintain purchase records, vendor databases, quotations, and other procurement documentation.Obtain and compare quotations from multiple suppliers.Track supplier performance and support vendor evaluation and development.Resolve procurement-related issues and ensure timely closure.Ensure purchases are made in line with company policies, approved vendors, and cost targets.Preferred Industry Knowledge Candidates with experience in Electronics / EMS / PCB Assembly manufacturing will be preferred. Knowledge of the following will be an added advantage: Electronic componentsPCB/PCBASMT & THT componentsBOM and component specificationsProduction consumablesElectrical/electronic materialsSupplier sourcing for electronic componentsEducation Diploma / Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement, Commerce, or a related field.Engineering candidates with electronics/electrical background will be preferred.Required Skills Strong vendor management and negotiation skillsGood communication and coordination skillsKnowledge of procurement processesGood analytical and problem-solving abilityProficiency in MS Excel and ERP systemsAbility to manage multiple suppliers and purchase requirementsGood understanding of commercial terms and procurement documentationExperience 38 years of relevant experience in Purchase/Procurement. Preference: Candidates currently based in Goa with relevant experience in electronics/EMS manufacturing.
