Date: Aug 17, 2026 Location: Pune, IN Company: PACCAR PACCAR India is looking for a skilled Technical Lead for Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Pune, specializing in the design development and Integration of chassis frame and its components on vehicle. As a Technical Lead at PACCAR, you will leverage your expertise in Layout development, component packaging, installation drawing, and coordination with cross functional team to ensure chassis components are installed safely, efficiently and compliance with technical requirements. Job Function / Responsibilities: Lead Vehicle frame and chassis components, including mounts, brackets, battery enclosures of battery electric vehicles Develop and review vehicle layouts, 3D CAD models, drawings, and installation instructions Ensure proper integration of chassis components with frame, VI, routings, Suspension, electrical, and control systems. Perform engineering calculations such as load analysis and tolerance stack ups, DFSS. Support prototype build, Assembly fitments and installation trials, supplier communications. Resolve installation issues during design, build, and testing phases. Prepare and maintain technical documentation, reports, design reviews, and change requests. Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and internal design guidelines. The primary function for this position includes: Act as the technical point of contact for vehicle frame within cross functional teams (design, manufacturing, quality, procurement, testing). Understand design requirements, clearance check, drawing standards, GD&T, and Bill of Material (BOM). Experience in frame and chassis system. Ensure productivity, quality and delivery deadline of assigned project. Qualification: Bachelors degree in mechanical, Automotive or Production Engineering. Required Skills: Minimum 8+ years of relevant experience in design and development. Strong proficiency in Creo and Windchill. Strong understanding of vehicle configurations, Layout & packaging for commercial vehicles Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, design principles, and industry standards Expertise in vehicle systems including Brake & Fuel system, Exhaust Aftertreatment & cooling system. Excellent understanding of GD&T, tolerance stackup, and engineering drawing practices. Experience in tool clearance, reliability, and ergonomic assessments. Ability to collaborate with both local and global engineering teams. Euro Emissions Norms Desired Skills: Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes and assembly techniques. Expertise in component validation, test procedures and issue resolution Understanding of release system will be an added advantage Proficient in analyzing FEA results and explaining technical outcomes in a clear, professional manner COMPETENCIES AND BEHAVIORS: Problemsolving skills with learning approach Strong verbal and written English communication and presentation skills.
