Location: Pune Experience: 58 Years About Fintel Research Labs Fintel Research Labs (FRL) is building PRISM, a cloud-enabled quantitative research platform. The platform processes large volumes of market data and powers quantitative research, strategy execution, risk management, portfolio analytics and broker integrations. We are looking for a passionate software engineer with strong C++ expertise and Python proficiency to build high-performance systems that power the next generation of financial technology. About the Role As a Senior Software Engineer, you will specialise in C++, design and develop the core software components of the PRISM platform. You will work closely with Quantitative Research, Product and Platform Engineering teams to build scalable, low-latency applications while contributing to the evolution of our cloud-native architecture. Key Responsibilities Design, develop and maintain software using Modern C++ and Python. Build scalable backend services, APIs and distributed applications. Develop high-performance, multi-threaded systems with a focus on speed, reliability and scalability. Optimise algorithms, memory utilisation and application performance. Participate in software architecture, technical design and code reviews. Troubleshoot complex technical issues and continuously improve system performance. Collaborate with Quantitative Research, Product and Infrastructure teams. Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practices. Contribute towards building cloud-ready applications and modern engineering practices. Required Skills Core Technologies Modern C++ (C++11/14/17/20) Python SQL Linux / Shell Scripting Strong Knowledge Of STL and Object-Oriented Programming Multi-threading & Concurrency Memory Management Data Structures & Algorithms Performance Optimisation REST APIs Software Design Principles Working Experience With FastAPI, Flask or Django PostgreSQL or MySQL Git Docker AWS (preferred) Desirable Skills Experience with one or more of the following is advantageous: Kubernetes Redis or MongoDB CI/CD Pipelines AsyncIO or Celery Microservices Architecture Distributed Computing Financial Markets, Quantitative Trading or Market Data Platforms Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline. 58 years of hands-on software engineering experience. Strong understanding of software architecture and system design. Experience building scalable, production-grade applications. Comfortable working in Agile development environments.
