Role Overview Seeking a Senior Talend Developer (610 Years) with strong expertise in ETL, advanced SQL, and PeopleSoft systems to support global data integration and analytics initiatives. This role will play a critical part in enabling data-driven decision-making across programs, lifecycle management, finance, and research analytics, ensuring seamless integration between PeopleSoft ERP and modern data platforms. Key Responsibilities Enterprise Data Integration - Design and implement ETL pipelines using Talend to integrate data across: - PeopleSoft (HR, Finance, Student Administration) - CRM systems - Learning platforms and research databases - Support near real-time and batch data processing for global campuses SQL & Data Engineering - Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, views, and stored procedures - Ensure high-performance data processing for: - Student analytics - Faculty research data - Financial and operational reporting - Perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks PeopleSoft Ecosystem Support - Work extensively with PeopleSoft modules (HRMS, Finance, Campus Solutions if applicable) - Integrate via: - Integration Broker - Component Interfaces - Direct database interactions - Support data migration, upgrades, and system enhancements Data Platform & Architecture - Collaborate with enterprise architects to support data lake / warehouse strategy - Contribute to data models and research analytics - Ensure compliance with data governance, GDPR, and organizational policies Performance & Reliability - Monitor and optimize ETL jobs for global data loads across time zones - Implement robust error handling, logging, and alerting mechanisms - Ensure high availability and SLA adherence Stakeholder Collaboration - Partner with: - Program teams - Finance and HR departments - Institutional research teams - Translate business requirements into scalable data solutions Best Practices - Promote Talend and SQL best practices - Conduct code reviews and enforce data engineering standards Required Skills & Qualifications Technical Expertise - Strong experience with Talend (Data Integration / Talend Cloud) - Advanced SQL expertise: - Complex joins, window functions, CTEs - Query optimization and performance tuning - Solid ETL design and data pipeline development experience PeopleSoft Experience - Hands-on experience with: - PeopleSoft data structures and tables - Integration Broker and APIs - Data extraction and synchronization Database Technologies - Experience with: - SQL Server / PostgreSQL Integration & Data Handling - Experience with: - REST/SOAP APIs - JSON, XML - Data warehousing concepts (Star/Snowflake schema) Preferred Qualifications - Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure / AWS) - Knowledge of data governance frameworks and GDPR compliance - Familiarity with analytics tool (Power BI) - Talend or data engineering certifications Soft Skills - Strong communication skills in a multicultural, global environment - Ability to work across multiple time zones and stakeholders - Analytical mindset with attention to detail - Proactive problem-solving and ownership Key Impact Areas - Enable 360 data insights - Improve data quality and reporting accuracy - Support global operations and research analytics - Strengthen PeopleSoft integration with modern data platforms .
