About The Role We're looking for an SRE II who can independently own the reliability of production Kubernetes/AWS workloads not just operate infrastructure someone else designed, but troubleshoot it, automate it, and improve it under pressure. This is an execution-focused IC role. Must-have Technical Skills Linux: Strong administration and troubleshooting fundamentals (process, resource, log, and network-level debugging) AWS: Hands-on production ownership of EC2, EKS, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, Route53 able to reason unaided through a full public-to-private request path (Internet Gateway Load Balancer Ingress Service Pod), including how a VPC distinguishes public vs. private routing Kubernetes: Beyond deployments/services/HPA working knowledge of CRDs, operators, CSI drivers, and structured troubleshooting of CrashLoopBackOff, OOMKilled, and readiness/liveness probe failures - Scripting/Automation: Must be able to write and debug a working script live, unaided (Python or Go preferred; Bash acceptable for infra automation) Infrastructure as Code: Terraform must have authored modules, not only modified or applied existing ones - Monitoring & Observability: Prometheus and Grafana must have designed at least one dashboard or alert rule from scratch, not only consumed pre-built ones Distributed data systems: Hands-on production troubleshooting experience with at least one of Kafka, Redis, or a relational/NoSQL database at scale Incident management: Structured P1P4 process, root-cause analysis and postmortem authorship, MTTR tracking, and working knowledge of SLI/SLO/SLA and error-budget concepts Nice-to-have - Service mesh exposure (Istio/Linkerd) - CI/CD pipeline design and ownership (Jenkins, ArgoCD, Harness, or equivalent) - Cost optimization / FinOps experience on AWS - DBRE-adjacent background - Docker multi-stage build and image-security-scanning experience Benefits We want you to be your best self and to pursue your passions! Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully.
