Roles and Responsibilities As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be playing a key role to deliver Caterpillars state-of-the-art Digital Marketing projects from design, development, configuration to deployment. This position will build a world class platform while delivering against the common department goals in line with CAT Digital Strategy. This position will architect and operationalize multi-channel marketing capabilities that connect our scientific breakthroughs to the people who need them. This position is required to supervise platform health end to end, identify bottlenecks, and implement improvements to ensure high availability, resilience, and speed at scale. The position manages the completion of its own work assignments and coordinates work with others. Based on past experiences and knowledge, the incumbent normally works independently with minimal management input and review of end results. Drives application deployment focused around delivering business valuable features Mentor and assist software engineers, providing technical assistance and direction as needed Maintains high standards of quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits Identifies and encourage areas for growth and improvement within the team Guide the team to develop a structured application/interface code, new program documentation, operations documentation, and user guides in a casual, flexible environment. Employee is also responsible for performing other job duties as assigned by Caterpillar management from time to time. Will work along with other applications and ensure timely execution of campaigns in Salesforce Marketing as per business requirements Technical Skills Must have at least 7+ years of professional experience as Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer preferably with more than one Salesforce Marketing Cloud certification. Solid experience working with clients across Digital Marketing programs in Campaign creation, Campaign Execution and Marketing cloud Administration Experience as a Salesforce developer will be an added advantage Proven experience with creating data models, queries, and custom data extensions to power advanced segmentation, personalization, and analytics that lift campaign performance. Proven experience with Ampscript, SQL, Cloud pages and script based automation; in integration of data into Marketing cloud. Experience on multi-channel journeys using Journey Builder, Email Studio, Mobile Studio, and related tools. Solid understanding of relational databases, data governance, and management best practices. Knowledge of Google Analytics tools and segmentation tools like High touch would be a added advantage Experience in Agile Methodology or SDLC practices; in delivering component, product, and/or enterprise architecture in public cloud and/or hybrid eco-systems Understanding of enterprise data integration and analytical platforms Functional Skills Extensive experience and domain knowledge in the manufacturing or automotive industries Demonstrated ability to adapt and learn new technologies, and be passionate in updated trends Excellent leadership, stakeholder management and communication skills Excellent command of English with the ability to communicate professionally Posting Dates: August 11, 2026 - August 24, 2026 Caterpillar is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
