Job Description NPD Engineering Manager Location: Gurgaon, Haryana Department: NPD / Engineering Position: NPD Engineering Manager Experience: 510 Years Qualification: B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Job Summary Escon Industries is looking for an experienced NPD Engineering Manager to lead New Product Development activities from customer drawing/sample development to successful production. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in precision machining, CNC Turning, VMC Machining, Tool Room operations, process planning, costing and manufacturing feasibility. Key Responsibilities Lead the complete New Product Development (NPD) process from customer drawing/sample to production.Study customer drawings, specifications, samples and CAD models to understand product requirements.Develop and finalize suitable machining processes for CNC Turning, VMC and Tool Room jobs.Prepare process plans, operation sequences and manufacturing methods for new components.Evaluate product manufacturing feasibility and identify potential production challenges.Estimate machining time, cycle time, tooling requirements and manufacturing cost.Prepare and review product costing in coordination with Production, Purchase and Accounts teams.Select suitable machines, cutting tools, fixtures and gauges for new product development.Coordinate with Tool Room for fixture, tooling and other development requirements.Coordinate with Production and Quality teams during trial runs and product validation.Monitor first-off trials and ensure products are developed as per customer specifications.Identify process improvements to reduce cycle time, rejection, tooling cost and overall manufacturing cost.Support root cause analysis and corrective actions related to NPD and process issues.Prepare and maintain NPD-related documents, process sheets and development records.Ensure smooth transfer of successfully developed products from NPD to regular production.Coordinate with customers for technical clarification related to drawings, specifications and development requirements.Ensure all NPD activities are completed within the required timeline and quality standards.Required Technical Skills Strong knowledge of CNC Turning and VMC Machining.Good understanding of Tool Room operations and machining processes.Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.Good knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).Ability to understand and work with CAD models/drawings.Knowledge of machining process planning and operation sequencing.Knowledge of cutting tools, fixtures, gauges and machining parameters.Good understanding of cycle time and machining time estimation.Knowledge of product costing and manufacturing feasibility.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.Required Experience 510 years of relevant experience in precision machining / CNC manufacturing industries.Candidates with experience in CNC Turning, VMC, Tool Room and NPD/Process Engineering will be preferred.Experience in an automobile, auto-component or precision engineering manufacturing environment will be an added advantage.Preferred Qualification B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical EngineeringRelevant technical certification in machining/NPD will be an added advantage.Candidate Profile We are looking for a technically strong and result-oriented professional who can independently manage NPD, process planning, costing and machining feasibility and effectively coordinate with Production, Quality and Tool Room teams.
