About the Opportunity As a Customer Success Engineer (CSE) Cortex XSIAM, you will serve as a trusted technical advisor to Palo Alto Networks' enterprise customers, helping them maximize the value of their Cortex investments. You will partner with Security Operations teams, Security Architects, Security Engineers, Incident Response teams, and Customer Success Managers to drive successful deployment, adoption, and ongoing optimization of Cortex XSIAM. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Cortex XSOAR and working knowledge of Cortex XSIAM, including its core architecture, data ingestion, detection, investigation, and automation capabilities. While deep product expertise is not expected, the candidate should be comfortable supporting enterprise customers, troubleshooting issues, and guiding them on operational best practices. Key Responsibilities - Act as the primary technical advisor for customers adopting Cortex XSIAM. - Help customers operationalize Cortex XSIAM by enabling data ingestion, detection engineering, automation, and investigation workflows. - Configure, customize, and troubleshoot Cortex XSOAR playbooks, integrations, automations, and incident workflows. - Assist customers with onboarding new data sources, validating normalization, and optimizing detections. - Guide customers on best practices for incident investigation, alert triage, automation, and SOC optimization. - Troubleshoot complex customer issues and coordinate with Engineering and TAC to drive timely resolution. - Conduct technical workshops, health checks, and enablement sessions to improve adoption and platform maturity. - Identify customer risks and proactively recommend technical improvements. - Advocate customer feedback to Product Management and Engineering. Required Qualifications - 38 years of experience in Cybersecurity, Security Operations, Professional Services, Technical Support, Customer Success Engineering, or Security Consulting. - Strong hands-on experience with Cortex XSOAR, including playbook development, integrations, incident management, and automation. - Proficient in Cortex XSIAM, including: - Data ingestion - Detection and correlation concepts - Incident investigation - Automation workflows - Alert management - SOC operations - Experience with one or more SIEM/XDR platforms such as Cortex XSIAM, Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, QRadar, Elastic, Chronicle, or LogRhythm. - Valuable understanding of SOC processes, incident response, threat detection, and security operations. - Experience onboarding log sources, troubleshooting ingestion issues, and validating parsing and normalization. - Familiarity with REST APIs and integrating third-party security products. - Experience with Linux administration and basic scripting using Python, PowerShell, or JavaScript. - Positive understanding of networking concepts, authentication protocols, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), and enterprise security technologies. Preferred Qualifications - Experience working with Cortex XSIAM in implementation, support, or customer-facing engagements. - Experience with Palo Alto Networks security products including: - Cortex XDR - Cortex XSOAR - Cortex XSIAM - NGFW - Prisma Access - Knowledge of endpoint detection and response technologies. - Experience integrating third-party security products using APIs. - Familiarity with cloud-native security monitoring. - Relevant certifications such as: - PCCET - PCNSA - PCNSE - Palo Alto Cortex certifications - Security+ - CySA+ - GSEC - Splunk certifications Soft Skills - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Strong customer-facing consulting skills. - Ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and executive audiences. - Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills. - Ability to manage multiple customer engagements simultaneously. - Excellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills. - Self-driven with a strong customer-first mindset. - Comfortable working in a fast-paced, global environment.
