Job Title: Junior Automation Engineer Location: Head Office Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra Industry: EPC Heavy Engineering, Oil & Gas Experience: 23 Years Department: Projects / Engineering Automation & Control About the Role We are looking for a Junior Automation Engineer to support the design, engineering, and execution of PLC, SCADA, DCS, and Instrumentation projects from our head office. The role involves working closely with senior automation engineers and project teams on EPC projects including Tanks, MSVs, Pipelines, and Process Plants. Key Responsibilities Engineering & Design Prepare PLC I/O Lists, Instrument Index, Control Philosophy, Cause & Effect Diagrams, and Interlock Logic. Develop PLC Ladder Logic / Structured Text. Create SCADA/HMI screens and graphics using Wonderware, WinCC, or Ignition. Review P&IDs and PFDs and prepare automation inputs for procurement. Project Support Coordinate with Process, Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrumentation teams during project execution. Support FAT/SAT documentation, test procedures, and commissioning checklists. Respond to client/consultant queries and incorporate comments in engineering documents. Track engineering progress and prepare weekly reports for the Project Lead. Technical & Standards Ensure designs comply with IEC, ISA, API, and client specifications. Prepare instrument sizing calculations for control valves, flow meters, and level transmitters. Maintain document control and revision records in EDMS. Learning & Development Support senior engineers in troubleshooting logic and software issues. Stay updated with automation technologies, IIoT, and Industry 4.0 practices. Required Qualifications & Skills B.E./B.Tech in Instrumentation, Electronics, Electrical, or Control Engineering . 23 years of relevant experience. Basic knowledge of PLC programming. Knowledge of SCADA/HMI. Basic knowledge of instrumentation: Sensors, Transmitters, and Control Valves. Knowledge of MS Office and AutoCAD for reading drawings. Good to have: DCS Honeywell/Yokogawa and Networking. Good communication, willingness to learn, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. Compensation & Work Details CTC: 4,00,000 per annum Working Hours: 9:00 AM 5:30 PM Working Days: Monday to Saturday Yearly Leaves: 30 days
