The role is primarily focused on Power BI and analytics delivery, while also contributing to Databricks-based data engineering activities such as data transformation, analytical data modelling, reporting dataset optimization, and modernization of legacy data logic. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Design, develop, test, and deploy enterprise Power BI dashboards, reports, scorecards, semantic models, and reusable analytical solutions.Connect and integrate Power BI with Databricks SQL Warehouses, Delta Lake tables, governed views, and composite models.Partner with business stakeholders and product owners to translate KPIs, reporting requirements, and analytical questions into technical designs and delivery plans.Build scalable semantic models using star schemas, conformed dimensions, reusable measures, and clearly defined business logic.Develop advanced DAX measures, calculation groups, time-intelligence logic, and Power Query transformations.Evaluate and optimize star, snowflake, and flattened data structures for performance, usability, and scalability.Design intuitive report experiences using drill-through, bookmarks, tooltips, conditional formatting, mobile layouts, accessibility features, and user-friendly navigation.Optimize Power BI reports and semantic models using Power BI Performance Analyzer, DAX Studio, VertiPaq Analyzer, aggregations, query diagnostics, and incremental refresh.Implement row-level security, object-level security, workspace security, application distribution, and governance controls.Publish and manage Power BI workspaces, semantic models, reports, apps, refresh schedules, gateways, and deployment pipelines.Develop paginated reports using Power BI Report Builder where required.Perform data validation, reconciliation, regression testing, UAT support, troubleshooting, and production support.Support user enablement and continuous improvement of enterprise reporting solutions.Document report specifications, semantic model designs, KPI definitions, measure catalogs, data dictionaries, support guides, and reusable reporting standards.Databricks & Cloud Data Engineering Analyze existing data warehouse implementations and support migration, modernization, and consolidation initiatives.Reverse-engineer legacy PL/SQL and SQL logic and translate business rules into scalable Spark SQL solutions within Databricks.Design and develop analytical data solutions using AWS S3, Databricks, and Delta Lake.Build and maintain ETL and ELT pipelines, ingestion frameworks, and transformation processes supporting reporting and analytics requirements.Collaborate with data architects to implement enterprise ingestion, transformation, and governance frameworks.Work with data engineering teams to define gold-layer datasets and ensure data quality, lineage, and business-rule consistency.Support Unity Catalog, Medallion Architecture, Delta Lake table design, governed views, and cloud data warehouse design patterns.Tune Spark SQL, Databricks notebooks, SQL Warehouses, pipelines, and table structures for performance, scalability, and reliability.Support CI/CD, Git, version control, release automation, DevOps practices, job scheduling, backup coordination, and production support.Collaboration, Delivery & Governance Participate in Agile ceremonies, roadmap planning, architecture reviews, sprint activities, production readiness reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.Work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, data architects, analytics engineers, governance teams, and support teams.Mentor developers through design reviews, code reviews, reusable engineering standards, Power BI best practices, and documentation standards.Promote consistency across reporting solutions by aligning semantic models, measures, data definitions, security, and release practices.Support governance, testing, documentation, and production readiness of enterprise .
